When I needed a creative hat.
Hats off to all those entrepreneurs who start their own business and keep it going for the long run! Or even to those who start a business and then pragmatically change courses to another business. Doing it all yourself is hard work and nearly impossible. It’s awesome that we can outsource lots of tasks with a few clicks on the web. One of the first things I decided to outsource was the making of my logo. I used 99designs, or something like that, and got what I thought was a fun logo in colors I sort of felt comfortable with. If you’ve been with me since earlier this year you might remember the lady rider with the top hat. But then after a while, as I started to think more about my brand and the direction I wanted to go, I felt I needed something different, better yes, but also more complete. Once again I turned to the web, my people connections, and found a creative mind that specializes in creating branding packages. Yes, there are tons of people and firms out there that can do this. My point is really that for an entrepreneur starting a small business on a small budget, it’s still possible to reach out and find the right fit for your needs. Emily Belyea was that person for me and she’s the first I want to thank and highlight as an amazing person to work with. I may not have been the easiest client (I’m slightly picky with visuals) but she got me through it and I love my new branding! So thank you Emily Belyea Creative for getting me on the trail to success!
