Hi! I’m Terisé Cole, the blogger behind Breeches and Boat Shoes—an equestrian lifestyle blog that follows my adventures in, you guessed it, breeches and boat shoes—and a full-time editor in the equine media and publishing industry in Massachusetts. The star of my blog is my Oldenburg gelding, Southern Axcent, who I purchased in August of 2013 after leaving my beloved first pony at home when I went off to college.
The pleasure driving shows display beautiful carriages, ring classes, obstacle classes, and pleasure drives. I especially enjoy the gorgeous hats worn by the lady drivers. Each competitor is required to dress with driving aprons, hats, gloves and whip in hand. It is fun to put together modern day outfits/hats for shows and each season you can completely change your look or tweak your outfit as you evolve.
Readers may know me for my columns at the Chronicle of the Horse about riding as an adult amateur, but I'm probably best known as the editor and talent agent for Jitterbug. Jitter is a Percheron/Thoroughbred cross who specializes in human management and training, and has her own column for the magazine, which is much more popular than anything under my byline.

I'm all about color. My taste has always tended toward the brightest Crayola, Dayglo, Fisher Price hues. A color theorist would use the word saturated, one wavelength at a high intensity. The breeches that catch my eye in the Dover Catalog are bright, fun, and often as not, in youth sizes only.
