It's been a while since I posted to the blog portion of Her Riding Habit and the Journey is overdue for an update. Once all the shirts were received I felt a huge sense of relief, just to have gotten through the first round of production successfully. Yes, it ran late, but that was really the only snag in the experience so I'm calling it a success!
Now it's all about brand awareness, getting the name out there, and letting people know about it. Perhaps this will be the longest and never ending part of the journey. I'm going to think of it as fun, and an opportunity to meet great people.
Towards the end of the summer I heard from Carina Roselli, the editor of Equine America Magazine. She was interested in showcasing the athletic polo in the Divine Equine feature of the summer edition. It was due out just before the Hampton Classic which she would be attending. Needless to say I was elated and offered to send her a shirt if she'd like to wear it at the show grounds (you know, if she liked it!) She did like it, she wore it, and I cannot thank her enough!
Now as we are approaching the holiday season the gift guides are on their way from just about every publication. Her Riding Habit was lucky enough to be selected and featured in Chronicle of the Horse's November / December issue of unTacked. The Clothes Horse column by Kat Netzler features gift ideas of all kinds, and the Green Dragon Athletic Polo!
I should also mention that Cowgirl Magazine gave Her Riding Habit a shout out online with a write up by Katie Lynn in October. Which was totally unexpected and exciting. Thank you Katie Lynn!
It's been a fun season of getting the name Her Riding Habit out in front of riders and hoping they will take a look at the current collection of fun shirts. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to get to know the brand!
